INT. AMBULANCE/REAR – C0NT
CHARLIE tends to his patents and glances out the back
window. He see,s something concerning.
CHARLIE
STOP! STOP!
CHARLIE leaps out the back.
EXT. ROADSIDE BEND – CONT
CHARLIE
Officer! I need your torch.
He takes the torch off POLICEMAN DANNY and inspects the
number plate. We see LINDAS blood. He investigates under
the truck. We see the bike.
CHARLIE
We have another one, a bike rider.
This way.
CHARLIE follows an assumed path along the road and down the
embankment. The others follow.

CHARLIE
THERE!
CHARLIE races ahead.
EXT. EMBANKMENT – CONT
We see LINDA lying in a ditch. CHARLIE gets to her and
starts to check her. STEVE and DAVID arrive.
CHARLIE
Shes not breathing and shes lost
a lot of blood. Kid go get the
stretcher.
DAVID takes off. CHARLIE and STEVE carefully start to remove
her helmet.
POLICEMAN DANNY
Hey. I thought you werent supposed
to take helmets off. What if her
head falls apart or something.
CHARLIE
Shes not gonna care about a that
if she doesnt breath for the rest
of her life.
CHARLIE is rips some foam out of the helmet and feels
around.
CHARLIE
Okay. Its clean.
The helmet slides off, CHARLIE starts CPR. STEVE grabs a
bandage, he ties up her upper thigh and then starts on her
knee.
STEVE
This knees not looking good.
STEVE checks his watch and writes the time on LINDAS
forehead.
CHARLIE
We gotta get her outta here.
DAVID returns with a stretcher. They pick her up and start
carrying her up the embankment. CHARLIE continues CPR.

EXT. AMBULANCE – CONT
They reach the ambulance and slide her in. CHARLIE and DAVID
jump in with her, taking turns to pump her chest as they do.
INT. AMBULANCE – C0NT
The POLICEMAN DANNY closes the doors. They continue c.p.r.
CHARLIE takes a good look at her in the light.
INT. AMBULANCE – TEN MINUTES LATER
Sirens wailing, STEVE drives, CHARLIE and DAVID are still
doing C.P.R. They are both sweating and exhausted.
DAVID
Thats It. (breath) Thats ten
minutes, shes gone.
CHARLIE
What are you talking about?
DAVID
The procedures say after ten
minutes (breath) of resuscitation
(breath) the patients dead.
CHARLIE
WE DONT PRONOUNCE PEOPLE DEAD.
(breath) DOCTORS DO THAT.
DAVID
But-
CHARLIE
-We never give up kid.
CHARLIE AND STEVE
WE NEVER GIVE UP, WE NEVER GIVE UP.
They keep giving C.P.R.
INT. HOSPITAL HALL – TEN MINUTES LATER
STEVE wheels the trolley through the busy ward, CHARLIE and
DAVID still work on LINDA. They hand the trolley over to the
doctors, the doctors take over the CPR. DAVID almost
collapses with exhaustion STEVE helps him.
